west coast life

Having been to Alberta and back in the last week, and finally being back on the west coast after 2 months away, there are a few things that I now recognize as distinctly west coast BC.

- I hate Alberta drivers. You don't need to go really fast on the straight roads, then slow down to 40 for a corner.....lets try a constant speed people.
- Coffee shops are the salvation of life. A good coffee (latte, mocha, real hot chocolate made with chocolate) and a muffin made that morning...there's nothing better and there is no commercial substitute (contrary to the timmy's, starbucks, corporate nations of most towns outside of the lower mainland).
- Sushi, both made and supplies for, should be readily available. And if you want to fit in, make sure you know how to use chopsticks.
-Food is entertainment, not something merrily to sustain life. All food should be flavourful, variable and healthy. Resturants that serve anything less are to be avoided at all costs.
