tis the life

This is the life of a random girl in a random place. At what point does life turn from random to significant? Do people ever really notice what's around them?

snow day

Remember those days when you stayed home from school because it was -40 and the buses weren't running?

Well, we had a day like that today. All weekend it's been snowing, contributing about 1-3 feet of snow, depending where on the island you are. I'm talking wet, icy snow, that pulls down trees and makes sledding hills out of roads. Buses can't run, schools aren't open...so I certainly couldn't go into work.

Thus it was a fabulous day. Sleeping in, making breakfast, getting suited up and playing in the snow. Had to come home eventually, but the plowed roads are okay. We've had a mess of weather lately, collisons of warm and cold storms...it's been interesting. How is the rest of the world doing?

Stay home due to -40? Who does that? Must not be a true northerner =P How's that harsh weather in Victoria? You gonna come up to YK again anytime soon to experience a true winter?
