when are you established

At what point do you become established in a place? Is it when you know your way around? When you know what references people are making? Or when you can call someone up and just say, remember when.......Life is funny in the way that we get established, and then simply leave and start all over again. Aquaintances slowly turn to friends...but it takes time and a lot of effort. Of course it's worth it, and there is so much to gain from the adventure. Still, can you ever really find people like the people you left?

On another note, a great suggestion for chocolate fondue: coconut, lemons and kumquat...I'm telling you it's one of the best things you'll ever try!
